I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
